Through dedication and proven expertise, STC’s reputation grew, attracting commissions from the royal families of Oman, Bahrain, Brunei, Qatar, and the president of Tajikistan. Mr. Menon dedicated a significant portion of his career to designing and building palaces, royal estates, and mosques. The Sultan Qaboos Grand Mosque stands as a testament to his exceptional skill. His eight-year connection with Oman fostered a strong foundation for future successes. In 1995, the Sultan of Oman bestowed Omani citizenship upon him and his family.
The Rise of Sobha Ltd.
Following his tremendous success in the Middle East, Mr. Menon returned to India’s burgeoning real estate market, recognizing the need for superior construction. In 1995, he founded Sobha Developers, headquartered in Bangalore. Today, Sobha Ltd. is a publicly traded company with a market capitalization of approximately USD 2 billion, operating in 27 cities and 14 states across India. For the past five years, Sobha has been recognized as the leading developer among over 12,000 in India. Known for its exceptional construction and interior design, Sobha Ltd. has completed over 140 million square feet of residential, contractual, and commercial projects since its inception.
Dubai: A New Horizon
In 2003, Mr. Menon expanded his business ventures to Dubai, a global business hub renowned for its world-class infrastructure, sustainable economic growth, and access to international talent. Dubai provided the ideal environment for establishing Sobha Realty. As a privately held company, Sobha entered the luxury residential market, offering residential development, construction, glazing, metal works, and furniture manufacturing, with a vision to expand across the GCC and select regions in Asia and Europe.
Sobha Hartland: A Masterpiece of Living
With five decades of experience creating world-class luxury homes and offices, Mr. Menon sought to redefine luxury living.
